The Nursery

We had another first yesterday: the church nursery. After spending all winter avoiding sick children, all the while wrangling a fidgety baby during the service, I decided that enough was enough. What good is church anyway if you aren't able to pay attention?

So yesterday Ella took her first trip to the nursery. It is setup for ages birth through 24 months, so of course Ella was one of the youngest in there. Here's how the conversation went when we took her in:

me: Good morning! Room for one more?? [As I hand her over]
Nursery staff: Sure! What's her name? [As she takes the baby]
me: Ella. [As I step out of the doorway]
N.S.: Well hello! My, she's a happy baby! [As Ella entertains the masses]
me: Yes! You know where to find us! Bye!! [From down the hallway]

We were sitting in the pews before Ella probably knew what happened. :)

When we went to pick her up, she was sitting in one of these:

and was reaching across the table trying to get to a little boy. Uh oh...
